Hollyhock Arabian Knights
These perennial plants are stately at the back of the border with their tall flower spikes. This variety boasts deepest maroon, nearly black, single flowers.

Harvest when flowers on 1/2 of the flower spike have opened. Sear the bottom 5cm of the stems with hot/boiling water for a couple of seconds after cutting. Expected vase life is 5 days. Regular harvesting will encourage flower production.
