Ranunculus Butterfly Musa

Price shown is exclusive of VAT and is calculated at checkout.

Fully double reddish flowers that changes colour to salmon-coral as they open.

This variety is a newly bred Japanese variety and we are very excited to be sharing it with you. Unlike other Ranunculus, these plants have less foliage and solid (not hollow) stems, which makes them less prone to disease. They have an excellent vase life and will provide your home with blooms for weeks on end.

Ranunculus and Anemone belong to the same flower family. There are many ranunculus and anemone varieties, but only a few varieties that have been specifically bred for the cut flower industry. These plants produce larger, taller and more flowers than other varieties.

3 corms per packet.

* PLEASE NOTE: Autumn bulbs only ship from February *

* Flower seed for Summer planting and Hydrangeas ship now. To ensure you receive your flower seeds and Hydrangeas now, do not add any Autumn bulbs (Ranunculus, Anemone, Daffodil of Tulip) to the same basket.

* If you have Autumn bulbs in your basket TOGETHER with summer seeds and/or Hydrangeas, you will receive your seeds in Jan/Feb only, which will be too late for planting them.

* IN SHORT, if you want summer seeds or Hydrangea plants, make sure it is placed in its own order (which will ship now), and then place a SEPARATE order for Autumn bulbs.

    Growing Tips:

Keep the soil moist but not overly wet. Keep the plant foliage dry (use drip irrigation). Fertilise weekly with a balanced or slow-release fertiliser. No need for horisontal netting.

    Harvesting Tips:

Sometimes you could have an early stretched flower stem on the very first stem. This early first stem needs to be pinched to the other flowers (only pinch the top flower). This pinch is only on the very first flower stem. And when the flower stems develop into normal stems, start cutting when 2-3 flowers are showing color and when 1 flower is open. Cut the stem at ground level. Expected vase life is 8-10 days.
