Growing Tips:
Provide horisontal plant support when growing in windy areas.
Harvesting Tips:
A "cut and come again" favourite, zinnias produce profusely when harvested frequently. Don't be afraid to cut tall stems so that new growth can branch out from lower down on the plant. To determine if ready for cutting, hold the stem about 20 cm below the flower head and gently wiggle it. If the flower and stem bends, it is too early to cut. If the stem stays straight and moves with your hand, it is ready for cutting. The perfect cutting stage is when it passes the "wiggle" test, but before any pollen is visible. Expected vase life is 5-7 days.
