Dahlia pinnata

Dahlia Sandra

It’s with first-hand knowledge we write this review. Dahlia Sandra was an absolute top achiever with Conrad and Louise at The Wild Bunch Flower Farm in 2021. It literally ticks all the boxes when it comes to a great allrounder. Strong stems – yes. Vase life – yes. Quality blooms – yes. Prolific bloomer – yes. If you buy only one dahlia this year, let this be the one.

Growing Tips:

Provide horisontal plant support when growing in windy areas. Water often in summer and feed regularly with a low Nitrogen fertiliser.

Harvesting Tips:

Harvest early morning and into fresh, clean water. A "cut and come again" favourite, dahlias produce for months when harvested frequently. Don't be afraid to cut tall stems so that new growth can branch out from lower down on the plant.

Whether you are growing flowers or vegetables or both, growing your own plants from seed, is one of the most rewarding things for any gardener and you don’t even need a green thumb to do it. With our guidance, it couldn’t be easier!
