A busy plant that shoots up loosely-branched stems of very lovely, airy flowers. NOTE: A tricky and lengthy germinator, not for the novice gardener.
40 seeds per packet
|Life cycle:||Tender Perennial|
|Climate:||Prefers a relatively cool growing and flowering environment and will tolerate some frost. Protect from the harsh summer sun.|
|Sowing guide:||In March-April, Sow in trays onto moist germination mix. Cover lightly with vermiculite.|
|Germination guide:||Keep the tray warm (18-22 C) and moist for the first 2-4 weeks. Following this period, moist and cover the tray and move to the fridge (0-4 C) for another 4-6 weeks. Check periodically to ensure tray doesn't dry out. Following this period, keep at 5-12 C for the next month, even if germination has already started. Following this, transplant into the ground. Keep moist until established.|
|Flowering time:||November to December from an autumn sowing.|
|Final height:||75 cm|
Plant in dappled shade to full sun.
Harvest when the first couple of flowers on the branching stem have openend completely. Expected vase life is 5-7 days.
